THE STILLPOINTS DIFFERENCE
Damping: a decrease in the amplitude of an oscillation as a result of energy being drained from the system to overcome frictional or resistive forces.
Isolation: The act of isolating. The quality or condition of being isolated.
Isolate: to cause to be alone or apart
If you have a device that has direct contact from top to bottom, (12 o’clock to 6 o’clock) like single bearing devices, no matter what the materials used, it is damping — not isolating.
True isolation does not have a direct path between surfaces. Stillpoints patented technology stacks bearings such that there is no direct contact between the component and the surface upon which it rests.

The Ultra 2 are available to purchase individually and like the Ultra 6 are only designed to work under electronics, if you are looking to Stillpoint your loudspeakers the Ultra SS or Ultra 5 are the 2 suitable models.
ESS – The Grid-HH Rack
The ESS rack was designed to be an effective vibration isolating structure that looked appealing but did not overwhelm the look of what was placed on it. In fact, the original inspiration for the design was a display rack assembly to which Stillpoints engineered its technology. The result is an open design that allows for ultimate ventilation, low mass for low energy storage, yet high strength for tremendous load carrying capacity.
The Grid system is an ingenious system utilizing one machined part designed to interweave into the double X pattern The Grid system allows for placing any level of Stillpoint technology, or any combination of Hard Hats, Ultra Mini’s, Ultra SS’s, Ultra 5’s and Ultra 6’s to be interfaced between the component and the Support Bar system.
ESS – Acrylic Rack

The ESS models start with an acrylic shelf system that is attached to the support bars. Every support bar has three pockets of Stillpoints technology making each shelf level the equivalent of 6 Ultra SS per shelf. The next level of ESS performance comes when the acrylic is replaced by the Grid system.
Aperture 2
The Stillpoints Aperture 2 acoustic panels represent a whole new form of acoustical treatment. The Stillpoints Aperture 2 is actually three products in one: an absorber, a diffuser, and a resonator. Due to its revolutionary design, it is impossible to directly compare the performance parameters of the Stillpoints Aperture to a conventional acoustic panel made of fiberglass. The performance specifications of the Stillpoints Aperture 2 continually adapt to the dynamic changes in amplitude and frequency of the audio/video system generating the wave forms within the acoustical environment. At any given amplitude and frequency a “snapshot” measurement of performance could be taken, but, that static measurement does not explain the reality of how the Stillpoints Aperture 2 actually performs.

ERS – (EMI/RFI Suppression)
The ERS (EMI/RFI Suppression) material redirects, absorbs, and diffuses EMI/RFI frequencies.
The benefits of ERS for audio/video are best heard with digital circuits due to the RFI creating aspect of the circuitry itself. Benefits of ERS can also be heard with AC power lines, signal cables, loudspeakers and electronics of all types.
EMI/RFI materials have been around for a long time. Most of them are heavy and hard to apply. Many need to be grounded to be effective. None of them are as light weight or easy to deploy as ERS, where grounding is not necessary.
WHAT IS IT MADE OF?
The core of ERS is made of a blend of carbon fibres of various lengths and sizes. Using a proprietary method, these fibres are coated with metals, such as nickel. The exterior is laminated with a polyester textile on both sides to make the material easier to handle and use.
ERS may be purchased with a Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA) already applied for easy and quick installation. This PSA is repositionable within a few hours and then becomes permanent. However, saturation of the material with GOOGONE will allow for easy scraping and removal.
