Hans Ole’s passion for hi-fi is fuelled by his love for music. As a teenager he played drums in a rock ’n roll band, and mainly listened to the same type of music, until he turned his attention to karate. He was trained by the internationally acclaimed sensei Raffi Liven, and with his usual determination, Hans Ole did well in both local and international tournaments.
Since the establishment of Vitus Audio in 1995, Hans Ole has devoted all his spare time on developing the Brand, and the first products. Over the years Hans Ole has mellowed a little, Rock ’n roll and Karate has been replaced by any type of music on good quality recordings, and perhaps even a glass of red wine on the couch. While he may have mellowed, he remains as dedicated as ever to his goal of perfect reproduction of music in the home.

SCD-025 mkII
Signature CD/DAC
How could we create such a fine piece of equipment with a true analog sound? We used our primary analog turntable along with a Masterpiece Phono Stage as preamplifier for reference. The desire was to simply make the SCD-025 mk.II a much more musical machine that anything else on the market. Choosing for the SCD-025 mk.II ensures you of a lifetime investment. The unit is a modular design, so it’s future proof. The predecessor of the SCD-025 mk.II didn’t have a USB input, so we went for a new design to convince enthusiasts even more. Worthy of the name Signature Series you get a lot more then just the USB interface. The SCD-025 mk.II was designed as a DAC with a drive, which gives the user the flexibility of adding other digital sources directly to the unit.

Signature Phonostage
Tabula rasa. It means starting with a clean slate. When you actually start from scratch as a manufacturer, the results can be surprising. This was the case with our SP-103 Phono Stage. It’s a brand new design. Ideas and technologies trickle down from our Masterpiece Series organically. As a true high end enthusiast it would be smart to use this to your advantage. Setting the resistance and sensitivity can be done with our RC- 010 systems remote or directly on the front of the unit. Instead of the normal MM/MC selection, we implemented a very flexible gain setting feature. Together with our well know true balanced, fully discrete technologies, we at Vitus Audio believe that the SP- 103 Phono Stage sets a new standard for analogue reproduction.

The Masterpiece Series has been the internal road map for quiet some years at Vitus Audio. Our engineers have spent a long time developing the two chassis MP-L201 supreme line stage. After this big achievement, it was clear that the team had to take a serious look at a replacement for the SL-101 and SL-102 Line Stage. They didn’t expect that the improvement in performance would be so dramatic. After hours of refining a brand new design was born, based on the technologies of the renowned MP-L201. All our line stages contain a full bypass feature. This allows external surround processors to take full control of the volume, when used in a multichannel system. Our design team created a real integrated amplifier you’ll adore. Integration was the real challenge. Fitting all the parts into a relatively small chassis, which the SIA-025 shares with its siblings. We raised our technology to a new level of integration of parts. Plain and simple. The output stage is taken from the SM-10 monaural amplifier. By putting all our efforts into developing this true balanced integrated class A amplifier, we succeeded in making the new higher level of integration perform to the standards that any customer would expect from our Signature Series. The SIA-025 adds more flexibility in terms of more inputs, the possibility of bi-amping should it be needed and a full bypass function for enabling compatibility with external surround processors. The SIA-030 – Redefining the standards!
Creating a product intended to be a model up from a much coveted and multi-award-winning icon, the SIA-025 in this instance, is no easy task. A casual exploration of the sheer number of accompanying 5-star reviews and awards from all over the world tells you all you need to know. The SIA-025 has become a glittering halo in the world of integrated amplifiers so the SIA-030 always had its work cut out in no uncertain terms.
This stratospheric performance expectation, combined with the goal of keeping the chassis as “small” as possible, made the design phase extremely demanding and challenging, pushing our team to the absolute maximum. Thinking way outside of the box and endlessly obsessing over every possible micro detail of the design was required to achieve the almost impossible.
The technology inside the SIA-030 reuses the regulated power supply for the output stage of the Masterpiece MP-M201, combined with new technology for the lower voltage stages. The regulator module can easily be upgraded for future designs and likewise for the gain-stages in both the preamplifier and power-amplifier section. The newly developed volume control is now regulated only 0.5dB pr. step throughout the entire volume control. The total gain available is 18dB, which combined with the input sensitivity selector and high resolution of the volume control, offers full versatility for any sources and loads.
Two optional modules are offered. Firstly, a full DAC/Streamer module already known from the Rl- 101 / RD-101 but further optimized and enhanced for a performance befitting of the SIA-030. Secondly, a full phonostage with two non-balanced inputs, mm/mc support and individual load and gain settings. Fully equipped, the SIA-030 will be all you will need for a minimalistic ‘uber’ performing system with matching speakers and cables.
SS-025
Signature Stereo Poweramplifier
Could you ask for more? The future is already here. Our design team had their hands free to push the boundaries even further. A new platform was created to satisfy a much broader audience. With a mix of technology taken from the SIA-025 and the SM-011, we came up with our most powerful design to date, considering the physical size of the unit. With 300 Watts per channel into 8 Ohm and twice that into 4 Ohm, there’s hardly any load the SS-025 can’t handle. Paired with either the SIA-025 for bi-amping or the SL-102, this amplifier can create a small but extremely powerful system that offers a musical engine, which focuses on the music. Hook it up with the SCD-025 and you have a 3- chassis system that is simple, easy on the eye and sets a standard in performance, quality and upgradability.

CD Transport
The complexity of all the Masterpiece Series products has put our engineering team to the test. Technology used in the Signature Series needed to be pushed to a supreme level. We’d love to think that the collection of masterpieces is our greatest work to date. For this reason, the name of the range is extremely suitable. It has been the most intensive development project we have ever undertaken. The technical discoveries we made have been nothing short of astounding. Each product of the Masterpiece Series is destined to become a true reference. The drive of the MP-T201 CD Transport is a heavily modified Philips Pro. On top of this we included both a master clock and sample rate module. The power supply has a supreme level of regulation and power. As the design of the MP-T201 CD Transport is totally modular, technology can be further upgraded, while the unit continuous to meet our highest quality demands.
MP-D201
DAC / Preamp
At Vitus Audio we’d like to think that our Masterpiece Series consists of a range of products that are ahead of their time. To reach this level, we had to re-qualify all parts from component level and up. Further more, many new custom made parts were developed, pushing our subcontractor technology to the limit of the achievable. The MPD201 DAC asserts itself as a digital control center of supreme level. It contains dedicated inputs and outputs to interface to basically everything digital. With a built in master clock and sample rate converter, it reduces jitter to the lowest level possible. Combined with four stereo DACs in the analog stage, the unit offers the best possible precision with today’s technology. The analog stage offers a true balanced configuration and our relaybased volume, optimized for the MP-D201 DAC
MP-P201 mk.II
Phono Stage
Technology needed to be pushed to a supreme level, to satisfy our expectations for the new Masterpiece Series. The MP-P201 Phono Stage uses the same discrete gain stage modules developed for the MP-L201 Line Stage, however they have been optimized for a much lover noise level. This is essential in order to maintain the level of musical performance with even the lowest output cartridges available today. Gain selection on the MP-P201 Phono Stage is based on the output voltage from the cartridge. This is the most effective and optimal way of ensuring perfect balance between the cartridge and the phono stage. Setting the correct can be done in a user friendly way. The four load boards in the MP-P201 Phono Stage provide a total of 16 different load values. The external power supply is shared with the MP-L201 Line Stage. It offers a supreme level of line regulation to ensure the lowest possible noise level, even before the supply reaches the actual phono stage circuitry.

Line Stage
The Masterpiece Series has been on our internal roadmap for some years. It was not supposed to be introduced until 2011. The number of requests from high end enthusiasts increased, so we decided to bring the development forward and launch this very special series early. All true balanced discrete gain stages in the MP-L201 Line Stage are based on shielded modules, which incorporate a very high level of integration. Each module is molded with special damping material, which takes care of both mechanical resonances and stability in temperature. This way optimal working conditions for the circuitry are assured. The external power supply provides both filtering and a very high level of regulation. A total of 24 regulations deliver a very stable and noise free supply, even before it reaches the amplifier itself. An optional active sub bass crossover is also available.

Remember when we first introduced the ideas behind the MP-S201 Stereo Power Amplifier? Most people saw that as a ‘Mission Impossible’. Our team of engineers worked long and hard. The result was simply flawless. They went above and beyond. When you truly challenge people, special thing can happen. The MP-I201 Integrated Amplifier is derived from the magnificent design of the MP-S201 Stereo Power Amplifier. This beautiful peace of machinery has 3 XLR balanced stereo inputs and 2 RCA unbalanced stereo inputs. Special tools were needed to manufacture this 125Kg integrated of colossal size. No compromises were made on the fact that it’s handmade in Denmark. While intended for being a stereo integrated amplifier, mono mode is available should bi-amping be required. Technical keywords: 4,5KVA transformers, 1.200.00uF capacitor bank, zero global negative feedback, 2mm thick boards, separated digital control circuitry, intelligent Class A bias and modular design. It’s by far the most insane integrated amplifier you have ever seen. In size it’s one of the biggest in the world. Fortunately, not only in size. Mission accomplished!

Stereo Power Amplifier
When we first introduced the ideas behind the MP-S201 Stereo Power Amplifier, most people saw this as a ‘Mission Impossible’. For the Vitus Audio team of engineers and workers this offered a chance to really prove themselves. They would need to go above and beyond. When people are truly challenged, it often brings out the best in them. The goals were set. The hard work was done. We had to step it up a notch. Special tools were needed to manufacture this 125Kg amplifier of colossal size. No compromises were made on the fact that it’s handmade in Denmark. While intended for being a stereo power amplifier, mono mode is available should bi-amping be required. Technical keywords: 4,5KVA transformers, 1.200.00uF capacitor bank, zero global negative feedback, 2mm thick boards, separated digital control circuitry, intelligent Class A bias and modular design. MP-M201
Mono Power Amplifier
The MP-M201 Mono Power Amplifier represents the true embodiment of the ‘cost is no object’ culture of Vitus Audio as a manufacturer. Why? Because it’s the culmination of what our brand tries to deliver: the meticulous implementation of state of the art technology serving unheard sound. Each MP-M201 Mono Power Amplifier has 2 chassis: a separate power supply and amplifier section. The construction is similar to the rest of the Masterpiece Series components, both structurally and aesthetically. The weight of the units is simply astonishing: 45Kg for each amplifier section and 65Kg per power supply. What separates the Masterpiece MP-M201 Mono Power Amplifier from others is the use of a fully balanced, zero feedback discrete topology. This design makes use of one input stage to feed two output stages, a fully regulated power supply and exceedingly high quality components. Almost every component used in the MP-M201 Mono Power Amplifier is designed and/or built in house. The amplifiers are capable of delivering 100 Watt of pure, continuous Class A power dedicated for the higher frequencies and an impressive 500 Watt of Class AB power for the lower frequencies. To generate that kind of power nothing less than two 2.2kVA transformers can be found in each power supply chassis. The casework is milled from solid slabs of aluminum and fitted to a vibration cancelling chassis of steel that fits together with the precision of a connoisseur watch. All assembly is done by hand. Every unit is thoroughly tested to ensure that everything works perfectly. Two stages of listening tests are performed before it receives a ‘pass’.
